Nothing streamed here is a police channel for this coast. The Sheriff answers for Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Princeton, San Gregorio and Pescadero, and for Half Moon Bay by contract; Pacifica runs its own department. Neither is on any feed in this county — the three police feeds that exist are Menlo Park, Redwood City and South San Francisco, all on the bay side of the ridge. What you can hear from here is fire and the water. Start with the county fire feed.

Run by volunteers, not by any agency. They play an ad first, run a minute or so behind the radio, and can go quiet without notice; Broadcastify’s page for each one shows whether it is on. Not a way to get help: call 911.

San Mateo County

County fire and CAL FIRE CZU Listed as “San Mateo County Fire, CalFire CZU” and the one to open first. Its listing says it is provided by remotely located critical infrastructure rather than by a volunteer with a scanner, which is Broadcastify’s own arrangement and tends to mean it stays up. CZU is the CAL FIRE unit that answers for this county, so this is the same agency the fire tile reads.

Its owner splits the stereo: the county fire district’s command and tactical channels on the left, Control 1a south dispatch on the right. South county is this coast from Half Moon Bay down through San Gregorio and Pescadero to the county line.
Pillar Point Harbor Listed as “Pillar Point Harbor Marine Traffic”: harbour patrol on 74, State Parks ocean units, the yacht club on 69, fishing boats and recreational boaters. The only harbour feed on this site, and the closest thing this coast has to hearing its own working waterfront.
Offshore marine and Coast Guard Listed as “San Francisco Offshore Marine Traffic”, and its owner names the frequencies: maritime calling and distress on channel 16, Coast Guard safety on 22a, the Coast Guard liaison channel on 21a, and the aviation distress frequencies. Distress traffic for the whole approach, not for this county alone.
