Sponsor a town’s conditions board
Coast Conditions collects what the weather service, NOAA, the Coast Guard, ODOT, OHA, ODA and USGS publish about the Oregon coast and puts it on one page per town, free, with every reading dated and linked to whoever published it. Local businesses keep it that way.
What stays free. Every board, every alert and every guide. Sponsors pay for the service; readers never do, and readers are never tracked, profiled or sold to.
Two per town
Two positions per town, side by side under the day's readings, on the town page and on the county board for everyone reading it for that town. Your logo and your one sentence show on the town page. They are the only sponsorship on a town page. No pop-ups, no third-party ad networks, no autoplay, no banners, no tracking of any reader.
What a sponsor gets
- A labelled card on the town page and on the county board for every reader who reads it for your town: your name, your town and a link to your site. On the town page itself, your logo and one plain sentence about what you do.
- A place on this page under your town.
- Honest aggregate numbers, once they exist: page views for your town and clicks on your card, by month. No projections, and nothing about any person.
Three levels, by reach
What a level costs follows how many pages it is seen on, not the size of the card. A town sponsor is on two pages: the town page and the county board when a reader picks that town. A county sponsor leads the strip on the county board and on every town page in the county. The Oregon sponsor has one line at the top of the strip on every board and every town page on the coast, and a card on the county chooser. A logo and the one sentence show only on a sponsor’s own page; everywhere else a sponsor is a name and a town.

Pricing
Traffic, not population: the town page's own readership (the site's counter, by month) together with how many people pass through the town (ODOT's average daily traffic on US 101 and the state's county visitor figures). A small fishing town can be a busier board than a bigger inland one. Every town is quoted on inquiry. The four bands, quietest to busiest:
- Cove. The quietest boards: a small town read mostly by the people who live there.
- Harbor. A working town with a steady readership through the year.
- Bay. A busy board: a town people pass through and plan around.
- Gateway. The busiest boards: the towns everyone on that stretch of coast checks.
Invoiced monthly. Invoiced once a year, at ten months' worth for twelve. The first two sponsors in any town are Founding Sponsors: their rate is held for their first twelve months. The offer ends in a town when its two positions are taken.
Towns
Every town on the coast, north to south. A town whose board is still in progress opens for sponsors when the board does.

Larger partnerships are arranged by hand.
Who can sponsor
Legitimate local businesses: charters and guides, tackle and marine, lodging, restaurants, campgrounds, outdoor retailers, towing and auto, contractors and home services, real estate, banks and credit unions. Coast Conditions decides who appears and may decline or remove any sponsor. A sponsor card is an acknowledgment of support; it is not an endorsement by Coast Conditions or by any agency whose information the board carries.
How it works
Send an inquiry. It reserves nothing and is not an acceptance. We reply by email with the quote for your town and what happens next. Invoiced monthly or annually; no card details are ever entered on this site.
Questions
Can I be on more than one town? Yes, one position per town, each priced as its own.
Can I change my sentence or logo? Yes, by email.
Do you show me who clicked? No. You get a monthly count and nothing about any person.
What if I stop? Your card comes down at the end of the paid term and the position reopens.
